Ivar Brandels is a photo-based sequential artist from Stockholm, Sweden. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from HDK-Valand in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Brandels is investigating photography in relation to various forms of storytelling. His work is inspired by contemporary references such as comics, science fiction, movies and video games. Based on this, he stages photograpic series and montages to illustrate his various stories.
